Free Technology Program MasterTech Influences Social Wellness of Community

Niskayuna High School students volunteer their time and expertise serving as mentors
for a free technology education program called MasterTech. The purpose of the initiative is to enhance the communication and social wellness of the community, while bridging the digital generation gap between the young and adult population. Attendees are partnered up with their very own student mentor to assist them in their diverse technological goals, such as how to use Snapchat or creating an online photo album, which elevates their social communication in the modern world. It has been a major success for both attendees and students, leaving locals feeling valued, cared for, and appreciated, one click at a time! The program is led in conjunction with Community Care Physicians P.C, and Niskayuna High School Librarian Donna McAndrews, running Thursdays from 3pm – 4pm at the Niskayuna High School till May 10th.
