Free Small Business & Entrepreneurship Classes

The Schenectady County Public Library is teaming up with the Community Loan Fund of the Capital Region to offer free business classes to novice and seasoned entrepreneurs.

Join us on Thursday, September 26 at 6:00pm at our new Mont Pleasant Branch on Crane Street for Resources for Starting or Expanding a Business or Non-Profit. Running a small business or non-profit organization often requires mastering a variety of new skills. We will introduce you to local, regional, state and federal resources that can help you succeed.

Many of us dream of starting our own business, but the reality can be overwhelming.  In Do You Want to Be an Entrepreneur? staff from the Community Loan Fund of the Capital Region will help you understand the challenges and rewards of being your own boss.  This class will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 6:00 PM at the Phyllis Bornt Branch on State Street.

The Community Loan Fund of the Capital Region is a non-profit community development financial institution serving the Capital Region. They provide access to capital by pooling investments and donations from socially concerned individuals and organizations, and re-lending it to non-profit organizations for affordable housing and community services, to micro enterprises for business development, and to individuals for home ownership and repair.

The Schenectady County Public Library is located at 99 Clinton St. in downtown Schenectady.  For more information on this and other free events contact us at (518) 388-4500 or visit us online at www.scpl.org.
