Former Colonie Police Chief Named Chairman of Scautub Agency’s Board

Scautub Agency, LLC, a subsidiary of the Glenville Bank Holding Company, the parent company of 1st National Bank of Scotia, announces the appointment of two new board members.

Steve Heider of Colonie has been named chairman. The owner of Northway Residential Services, former Town of Colonie police chief and current member of the Town of Colonie planning board and Albany Airport Authority board replaces John Buhrmaster who retired from the insurance subsidiary board after seven years of service.

Kelly Gibbons of Scotia, senior vice president and retail banking manager at 1st National Bank of Scotia, joined the board in January and is up for election to a full term.

“As a director, Steve brought a fresh perspective to agency leadership. As chairman, he is determined to take us to the next level by expanding our reach and further refining our

insurance products and customer service,” said Scautub Agency CEO Robert Dieterich. “His experience as a small business owner will be invaluable as we look to strengthen our business presence.

“Kelly’s expertise is in delivering an exceptional customer service experience and streamlining operations,” said Dieterich, noting that she volunteers her time as coordinator of the Scotia Glenville Food Pantry and treasurer of the Capital District Bank Security Officers Association. “She will perfectly round out our leadership team and make the agency more accessible to banking customers and the general public.”
