Food, Fun and Fright at the BOO-jolais Wine Celebration

The Alliance for Positive Health (formerly the AIDS Council of Northeastern New York) is thrilled to invite the Capital Region to the first-ever BOO-jolais Wine Celebration to raise money for those impacted by HIV/AIDS. Formerly the beloved and longtime running Beaujolais Nouveau Wine Celebration, this year’s event will descend upon The Washington Avenue Armory in downtown Albany this Friday from 6 to 9 p.m.

 Guests will be treated to an array of delicious cuisine from the following eateries:  Albany Marriott, Ama Cocina, Athos Restaurant, Ben & Jerry’s , The City Beer Hall, Dali Mamma, The Fresh Market – Latham,Graham & McGuire, Healthy Café Catering Company , Mazzone Hospitality, The Merry Monk ,New World Bistro Bar ,Risotto, Saati Deli & Catering, Simons Catering ,Tipsy Moose Tap & Tavern, W.B. Mason , andWe Do Fondue .

All Star Wine & Spirits will provide a selection of red and white wines for guests to enjoy. Entertainment will include music by DJ Larceny, drag performances led by Mistresses of Ceremonies Countess Sondra Rox and Grande Duchess Ivanna, psychic and tarot card readings, and a fabulous silent auction. Costumes are not required, but are encouraged.

Funds raised from the event ensure the availability of programs and services provided by the agency to the community! Standard admission is $90 if purchased by end of business on Thursday, October 27th, and is available by calling 518.434.4686 or visiting the Alliance for Positive Health’s website:www.allianceforpositivehealth.org. VIP admission, which includes entry to the pre-event reception, a complimentary wine glass, and hand-rolled cigars, is also available for $150. Admission may be purchased at the door on October 28th for $100.

All money raised from the event will stay local in Northeastern New York to benefit the agency’s Client Services Emergency Fund and HIV/AIDS Prevention Initiatives.
