November 5, 2019First New York Federal Credit Union To Collect Personal Hygiene Products This Holiday Season
First New York Federal Credit Union lives by the philosophy of “People Helping People” and is committed to serving our members and our community.
Capital Region residents who receive Food Stamps (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Programs) are not permitted to purchase personal hygiene products; no deodorant, no soap, no shampoo, no laundry detergent, no razors and not even toilet paper can be purchased with their benefits.
In an effort to assist them, First New York is collecting rolls of toilet paper at all branches and at their company headquarters. First New York’s goal is to collect toilet paper to share with Catholic Charities Tri-County Services, an agency made up of programs that assist the needy with the basic necessities of life.
