Fifth Annual Capital Capabilities Family Fun Day

WHAT: This family-friendly FREE event will focus on “Celebrating Inclusion!” with art, music, dancing, food and other surprises. Additionally, Price Chopper/Market 32 is hosting a “Learning Lounge” to assist people with disabilities in their job search.

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and a special part of this year’s event has been getting local employers to sign an EmployAbility pledge to interview and hire people with disabilities.
Every year, Capital Capabilities extends a gift to the community. This year will feature the unveiling of the 2018 Community Art Project, a large hanging tree mural, created by artists with and without disabilities from numerous partnering organizations.

Capital Capabilities (CapCap) is a dynamic alliance of individuals and organizations that works to engage and enlighten the abled community about people with disabilities. The annual Capital Capabilities event is an opportunity to meet the CapCap partners, experience demonstrations and workshops conducted by CapCap representatives, and learn about resources that are available in the community.
