A Festive Evening at Glimmerglass Opera

The Musicians of Ma’Alwyck are excited to offer again this year an exquisite evening at Glimmerglass Opera. Friday, July 22, a chartered bus will leave from Schenectady for an incredible evening watching Sweeney Todd at Glimmerglass Opera. The evening will include a delicious picnic supper created by Jeannette Balins of the acclaimed Taste of Europe restaurant in Cobleskill will be served on the scenic back porch of the Woodcock Building, following supper attend the pre-concert talk, then enjoy the wonderful production of Sweeney Todd in great seats in the Alice Busch Opera Theater. During intermission enjoy a visit to the “intermission club” in the Thaw Pavillion next to the Opera Theater were appetizers and libations are served. During the evening, we can expect a visit from Francesca Zambello, the general and artistic director of the Glimmerglass Festival; she will be accompanied by a few very special artists. Following the performance the bus will take you back to Schenectady. What an special opportunity and magical evening. Tickets strictly limited to 50 guests. Reservations are necessary. Cost is $100 per guest, and reservations are expected to sell out. Early reservations are encouraged.
