Fashion On the Runway to Benefit the Center for Disability Services

Marini Homes and Integra Optics present Fashion on the Runway, an event to benefit the Center for Disability Services Foundation, Inc., on Thursday, September 29, from 6:30 pm to 11 pm, at the Integra Optics Airplane Hangar 202, 745 Albany Shaker Road, Latham. The night begins with a cocktail reception, followed by a men’s and women’s couture fashion show, live auction, finale of the couture fashion show and dancing to the music of DJ Dread.

The evening features special guest Marcos Cesar Pontes, a Brazilian astronaut and Air Force pilot. Pontes completed the NASA astronaut training program and  flew on a mission to the International Space Station in March 2006.

There will be food stations by Mazzone Catering, a two hour open bar and valet parking. Guests are asked to bring a child’s toy to donate to Toys for Tots.

Tickets are $125 per person; $75 for guests 30 years of age and under.

The Center for Disability Services, known as the place where people get better at life, is one of the largest providers in upstate New York of programs and services for individuals who have disabilities. The Center has 80 locations with its main site located in Albany, and serves consumers of all ages. Its divisions include the Down Syndrome Aim High Resource Center, Life Quality Solutions Incubator, Prospect Center in Queensbury and St. Margaret’s Center. Many of the innovative programs and unique services the Center offers are not available elsewhere.
