July 9, 2019Capital Region Chamber Helps Exit 3 of the Northway Become a Reality
Mark Eagan, President and CEO of the Capital Region Chamber, participated in Governor Cuomo’s press conference, where it was announced that the direct connection between I-87 and the Albany International Airport will be completed in November of this year. Renovations at the airport and the new parking garage are scheduled to be completed by March of 2020.
Securing funding for the new Exit 3 and reconfigured Exit 4 had been a top advocacy priority of the Chamber. Once completed, it will not only improve public safety, it will reduce the bottlenecks in the area and enhance economic development opportunities throughout the region. Because of member support, the Capital Region Chamber has been able to be an effective advocate to make this long-awaited project a reality.
