Details:
ESYO is completing its 36th season with a celebration of its past, present, and future. Following a noon-time celebration luncheon in Key Hall, guests will have an opportunity to hear small groups of current ESYO musicians perform a wide variety of music from classical to jazz; the performers will be in the open spaces by Proctors Apostrophe Café and GE Theatre.
At 3:00 pm, the ESYO 360° concert will begin. This hour-long concert will feature each one of ESYO’s nine performing groups in a “prism-style” concert with one group performing right after another with virtually no interruption. The concert will end with a Grand Finale – all 320 current ESYO musicians plus 50 ESYO alumni will be on stage together to perform as one orchestra. They will play the majestic 4th movement from Respighi’s Pines of Rome.
There will be a reception following the concert to give the audience an opportunity to meet the musicians and conductors.
