Ervin Murray Promoted to Senior Vice President, Chief Information and Operations Officer at Ballston Spa National Bank

Ervin Murray has been promoted to senior vice president and chief information and operations officer at Ballston Spa National Bank (BSNB), according to Chris Dowd, president and CEO. In this expanded role, Mr. Murray will provide strategic vision and leadership in the areas of loan servicing, deposit support, call center, electronic banking operations, information technology and security, and electronic banking operations.

With more than 37 years of experience in IT and operations, Mr. Murray most recently served as senior vice president and CIO of the company. He joined BSNB in 1999 as an assistant vice president of systems and has assumed increasing levels of responsibility during his tenure.

Mr. Murray received a bachelor’s degree in management science from SUNY Binghamton and a graduate degree in executive banking from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Active in the community, he is the president of the board of trustees for the Saratoga County Historical Society at Brookside Museum in Ballston Spa and also volunteers delivering meals to area seniors. Professionally, he is a member of the New York Bankers Association technology committee.
