November 18, 2019ENVISION Architects Welcomes Talented Trio of Architectural Designers
ENVISION Architects recently hired three architectural designers; Courtney Mahar, John Bollentin, and Samantha Romero bring diverse skill sets and a shared belief in collaboration to our team.
As Architectural Designers, they are responsible for communicating architectural designs and solutions through technical drawings and details. They will bring expertise in planning, design conception, development, and construction administration.
Courtney has been a long-time, summer intern in the office since she was pursuing her undergraduate degree at Wentworth Institute of Technology. Since then, she has also received her master’s degree from WIT. She is eager to continue working on higher education projects while pursuing her license. Currently, Courtney is working on the Specialty Children’s Hospital at The Center for Discovery, located in Sullivan County.
John studied Architectural Technology at Hudson Valley Community College, adding to his experiences in CAD fabrication and hand-drafting. John brings a strong background in client relations and collaboration from his position at Bennett Stair Company where he designed stair plans for construction and coordinated installation. He is working on several security-focused projects, including security infrastructure for a pharmaceutical facility. He has also contributed to several small projects for the Albany Public Library.
Samantha has five years of experience in building design and modeling. Before joining Envision, she worked as an architectural designer at Synthesis where she focused on historic preservation and education projects. While pursuing her certificate degree in computer aided drafting & design, Samantha was the Habitat for Humanity Club Build Coordinator where she gained hands on experience in construction. At Envision, Sam is working on a complex, large-scale renovation of a secure military facility.
