Entrepreneur Lawyer Mathew Tully Choses Austin, Texas as Latest Office in Expansion

The Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned law firm Tully Rinckey PLLC announces the opening of its Austin, Texas office, bringing the firm to ten offices coast to coast. Furthering the firm’s expansion from its headquarters in Albany, New York, the home of “tech valley,” by moving to the new Silicon Valley will help the firm better service it’s corporate and information technology clientele as that sector undergoes transition. The Austin office – located in Suite 205 of the Proctor Building, 3724 Executive Center Drive – will service the firm’s current and future corporate clientele, while focusing on the insurance industry on a national level.

“This is only the beginning of our growth in the state of Texas,” said Founding Partner Mathew B. Tully, Esq. “Our market research on the Texas legal market indicates that a firm with a business model such as ours will be very successful.” Tully added the firm “in addition to offering insurance coverage litigation, we will be adding numerous attorneys throughout Texas that bring a client base of Fortune 500 businesses in the coming months.”

Mathew B. Tully founded Tully & Associates shortly after he escaped the World Trade Center during the tragic events of September 11, 2001. At the time, Tully had been employed in the legal department of Morgan Stanley – one of Wall Street’s most prestigious brokerage firms. After September 11, Tully moved to his ski home in Hunter N. Y. and started his own law firm. His first clients were family, friends, and former co-workers. In 2004, Mathew worked with fellow Hofstra alum and Founding Partner Greg T. Rinckey to establish the foundation of what is today Tully Rinckey PLLC – a full service law firm with offices throughout the country and plans for international expansion. Mathew partners with Greg on the strategic planning and law practice management of the firm. Together, they create and implement innovative business initiatives that continue to expand Tully Rinckey PLLC into new markets and practice areas. What started as a solo practice in the back bedroom of a ski home, using credit cards to pay the bills, has developed into a ten-office conglomerate of nationally recognized attorneys.

The Austin office is staffed by attorneys Brittan Buchanan, Laura Grabouski, and Donna Peery. Sean C. Timmons, Managing Partner of Tully Rinckey PLLC’s Houston office, will oversee the Austin office operations. The office will embrace the former firm of Buchanan Grabouski’s mission to provide quality statewide legal services to insurance companies and corporations in the areas of insurance coverage, and commercial litigation legal services.

Both Tully and Rinckey come from military backgrounds. Tully served in the United States Army as a field artillery officer, and he was a federal law enforcement officer with the U.S. Department of Justice. He retired as a lieutenant colonel in the New York Army National Guard after earning the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal, among other honors. Rinckey served as a captain in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, where he had many assignments including as a federal prosecutor and an assistant U.S. attorney. Rinckey also served at the Army Defense Appellate Division in Washington, D.C. working on criminal appeals. Because of their military service, Tully Rinckey PLLC became the first law firm in New York State to receive Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business status.
