The Capital Region Workforce Development Board has purchased a year-long subscription to a virtual job fair platform: Premier Virtual. They’re now looking to gauge local business’ interest in participating in free, virtual career fairs.
Here’s how it would work: After a simple online registration process, the business would be allowed to sign up for multiple job fairs throughout the year, depending on their hiring needs. The Workforce Development Board would take care of the marketing and job seeker registrations. The business would then “show up” on the day of the job fair to meet job seekers eager to work for their business in a safe, virtual format. There would be no cost to the business and through the platform they would have the ability to text, chat and 1-on-1 video chat with applicants in their own private virtual room.
