August 4, 2015Ellis Medical Group Welcomes Dr. Katherine Hourmont to its General Surgery Team
Ellis Medicine announces the addition of Katherine Hourmont, M.D. to Ellis Medical Group. She joins Ellis Medicine’s General Surgery team at 624 McClellan Street, Suite G05 in Schenectady.
Most recently, Hourmont completed a fellowship in general surgery at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C. She earned her medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine, in Morgantown, W.V. and completed two additional fellowships, one in minimally invasive surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack, N.J. and the other in surgical critical care also at Carolinas Medical Center.
Hourmont has a wide range of experience in international medical as well. She was a staff surgeon at the University of Innsbruck Hospital in Innsbruck, Austria; a medical writer at Medicus International in London, England; and an operative assistant at the Clinic De L’Oasis in Gassin, France. Hourmont did her residency in general surgery at St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital Center, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in N.Y. She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery.
