July 7, 2021EFNENY Offers Free Seizure First Aid Training
The Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York (EFNENY) is excited to announce that beginning Wednesday, July 7, 2021, the organization will be offering free monthly Seizure Recognition and First Aid Certification trainings. Launched in 2020 by the Epilepsy Foundation of America, this is the first seizure first aid certification training of its kind.
To become seizure first aid certified, participants are required to complete a pre-test, attend a training, and complete and pass a post-test. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certification that is valid for two-years.
This monthly certification offering is being integrated into the agency’s existing Webinar Wednesday program, which offers free seizure first aid trainings for general audiences on the first Wednesday of each month. EFNENY’s Director of Community Education is a certified instructor for the course.
For more information, to register, or to schedule a training for a specific group, please call EFNENY at 518-456-7501 or contact Erica DeNicola-Scher at: edenicola-scher@epilepsyneny.org.
