The financial services firm Edward Jones recently was named the No. 1 large company on the “Best Companies to Work for in New York” ranking, according to Kevin Pittz, a local Edward Jones financial advisor in Albany.
The ranking was based on an employer inventory of practices and an anonymous survey of associates, who were asked to agree or disagree with dozens of statements about the firm, teamwork and their individual experience at the firm. For eight consecutive years, Edward Jones has ranked in the top two Best Companies to Work for in New York.
The New York State Society for Human Resource Management teamed up with the Best Companies Group of Harrisburg, Pa., to rank the state¿s top 70 employers. Companies named Best Companies to Work for in New York for 2018 were divided into 24 large companies, 19 medium companies and 27 small-sized companies by the number of people they employ in the United States.
The ranking is based on an employer inventory of practices and an anonymous survey of employees, who were asked to agree or disagree with dozens of statements about the firm, teamwork, and their individual experience at the firm. For 11 consecutive years, Edward Jones has ranked in the top four Best Companies to Work for in New York state.
