E. Stewart Jones Hacker Murphy Law Firm to Consolidate Offices and be Headquartered in Downtown Troy

TROY – Partners of the E. Stewart Jones Hacker Murphy Law Firm announced today the merger of its two main offices into one headquarters in the historic Troy brownstone that the E. Stewart Jones firm called home for more than 50 years.

The firm will bring 17 full-time staff presently positioned in Latham into downtown Troy to join the 11 full-time staff already headquartered there. The firm will maintain the Latham office with regular office hours, as well as continue to operate offices in Saratoga Springs and Albany.

“We feel that this is a great opportunity to bring our consolidated team closer together, which will allow us to better serve our clients,” said E. Stewart Jones. “We are excited to bring even more employees into downtown Troy, as well. My family has been practicing law in Troy since 1898, so I am pleased to grow the professional community in the Collar City.”

The E. Stewart Jones Law Firm and Hacker Murphy, LLP merged in January 2015 to form E. Stewart Jones Hacker Murphy. The merger created one of the most experienced personal injury, criminal defense, property tax dispute and commercial litigation law firms in New York State.

“We believe consolidating our staffs in one central location will allow us to better serve both our clients and the community at large,” said Jim Hacker. “Troy is a great place to work, and our Latham employees are excited about moving there.”

The firm has 14 attorneys offering legal counsel in the areas of commercial litigation, property tax dispute, criminal defense and personal injury law.
