September 18, 2017Dr. Brian Lisse to Visit Niskayuna Rotary
On Sept 26th, Dr. Brian Lisse, from the Boston area, will be visiting to thank local Rotarians for how much Rotary District 7190 is doing to expand his annual medical mission to Malawi, to include Malaria prevention (a Rotary Global Grant), famine reduction (fruit trees & treadle pumps), commerce development (microcredit), girls’ health (MoonCatcher.org) and education (a high school education on 10 laptops).
Their annual mission includes doctors, nurses, medical students and 10 high school students who compete for the privilege. Niskayuna Rotary meetings are 7:15 to 8:15 AM at the Blue Ribbon Restaurant & Bakery, 1801 State St (Route 5). Later in the day, he will be visiting Scotia Rotary (a lunch club) and South Glens Falls Rotary (a dinner club). Visit Rotary7190.org for times and locations.
