Downtown Albany BID Seeks Food Trucks and Retail Vendors for Upcoming Events

The Downtown Albany Business Improvement District (BID) is seeking food trucks and retail vendors for its upcoming Bites Camera Action and Pearlpalooza events.

This year the BID is combining the popular Fork in the Road food truck events and Deja View outdoor movie series into Bites Camera Action, offering six summer evenings of great menus, live music and motion pictures at Tricentennial Park (Broadway between Columbia & Steuben Streets). The series will be held Monday nights from July 10th to August 14th, with food vendors running from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Movie trivia will run from 8:00 to 8:30, with movies starting at 8:30 PM.

Produced in partnership with WEQX, Pearlpalooza celebrates seven years of presenting free, high-quality live music to Pearl Street on Saturday, September 16. The event runs from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

“These events serve to connect Downtown residents, their neighbors, local businesses, and the BID, as well as drive those who work and play in the region to experience our District in fun ways,” says Georgette Steffens, Executive Director of the Downtown BID. “From hundreds of weekly Bites Camera Action attendees to the thousands of music lovers expected for Pearlpalooza, these events offer great opportunities for vendors to connect with new and familiar customers.”

All interested vendors must complete a vendor application, which can be downloaded at www.downtownalbany.org/vendorapplications. Downtown BID stakeholders will have the opportunity to vend for a reduced rate.
