Donate to Salvation Army through Hannaford

Hannaford Supermarkets will once again provide its customers with an opportunity to give to The Salvation Army during the month of November at all its stores in New York State through its cash register program.

Hannaford shoppers will need to ask the cashier to add a donation of either $2 or $5 to their total with that money going directly to the local Salvation Army to serve families in the community where the donation is made.

Funds raised through this effort allow The Salvation Army to provide holiday assistance, food, clothing, help with utility bills, and much more throughout the year.

“Hannaford is proud to support The Salvation Army in its work of meeting fundamental needs of our neighbors who are struggling financially,” said Eric Blom, Hannaford spokesman. “The register donation program at Hannaford makes it easy for customers to join with us and with The Salvation Army to make a difference in the local community.”

The Salvation Army is grateful for its ongoing relationship with Hannaford. “We are blessed to have community partners who partner with the Army to help those in need,” said Major Steven Lopes, executive director of the Capital Region Salvation Army.
