Discount for Employees of Albany Medical Center, St. Peter’s Health Partners Offered for MSSW Program

The College of Saint Rose has announced two agreements that offer employees of Albany Medical Center and St. Peter’s Health Partners a 20% discount on tuition for the Master of Science in Social Work program.

The discount is available to those who meet the admissions criteria for the program, and it will be available beginning in Spring 2020.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, between 2018 and 2028, the demand for social workers is projected to grow 11 percent for all social workers, much faster than the average for all occupations, and 17 percent and 18 percent for health care social workers and mental health and substance abuse social workers respectively.

The Master of Science in Social Work program at Saint Rose launched in Fall 2017 and focuses on well-being and prevention across five essential realms: spiritual, social/environmental, emotional/psychological, physical, and economic. The social work faculty at Saint Rose are all licensed practitioners from various backgrounds and practice areas, including aging, trauma and crisis intervention, and diversity and social justice, among many others.
