Credit Union Professional Betsy Kindlon Honored With Statewide Award

Longtime credit union leader Betsy Kindlon was recently honored with the New York Credit Union Association’s Outstanding Professional of the Year Award. The award honors professionals who have a true passion for credit unions and who inspire others with their hard work, dedication and success.

Kindlon, recently retired CEO of Community Resource Federal Credit Union, was presented with the award June 13, during NYCUA’s Annual Meeting and Convention in Bolton Landing, New York.

Kindlon worked in the credit union movement for 39 years, 26 of which included her role as CEO of Community Resource FCU. Throughout her tenure, she was highly active with the New York Credit Union Association’s Capital Chapter. During her 20 years of serving, six of which were as President, she helped to increase participation at Chapter events.

Kindlon retired from the credit union at the end of April, but she has continued to be a leader in her community through her ample volunteer work and generous charitable initiatives
