December 7, 2016Courtyard by Marriott Opens at Schenectady’s Mohawk Harbor
The Capital Region Chamber was elated to participate in a historic ribbon cutting on December 1, as the Courtyard by Marriott because the first building at Mohawk Harbor to to receive its certificate of occupancy. David Buicko, CEO of the Galesi Group, developer of the Mohawk Harbor complex, led the ceremony surrounded by local officials from the City of Schenectady and neighboring communities. The hotel has already been successful in its first six weeks of operation, and the future looks bright. Buicko commented that he hopes new developments throughout 2018 will create one of the largest premier complexes in the Capital Region. We are confident that the jobs created as well as the economic stimulus will help the city, county and Capital Region grow and prosper for years to come!
