The Costumer Celebrates its 100th Birthday

The Costumer will be celebrating 100 Years of Community, Customers and Colleagues on September 24, 2017 between 1-4 pm. Invited guests will be given a unique opportunity to preview “Well-Dressed in Victorian Albany: 19th Century Fashion from the Albany Institute Collection”, which opens October 7, 2017.

Erik Johnsen, Owner and President, said, “We are delighted to celebrate our Centennial while paying tribute to our scholastic theatre customer relationships that have spanned decades, along with the colleagues that make those enduring relationships possible. To be able to do so at the Albany Institute, a key partner of ours in the community, is icing on our birthday cake. The Costumer has been providing technical support on the upcoming Victorian exhibit, so we are excited to offer a preview to our guests. We are also proud to mark this milestone during the 100th anniversary of women gaining the right to vote in New York. Our founder, Mrs. Anna White, started this business before winning that right.”
