A Concert of Thanksgiving to Support SICM

The Music Company Orchestra presents a benefit concert to support Schenectady Inner City Ministry (SICM), and all are welcome. The concert will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at 3pm in the Schenectady High School Auditorium. There will be a free will offering with funds supporting SICM’s Jubilee—50th Anniversary Celebration, to be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018.

The musical program will include short classical favorites, including: Variations on a Shaker Melody, Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring, Selections from Carmen, Selections from Peer Gynt Suites, The Blue Danube and Radetzky March.

Attendees are asked to please bring a canned/boxed food item for Thanksgiving Dinner for the SICM Food Pantry; for example: cranberry sauce, pumpkin, yams, green beans, corn, stuffing, potatoes).

The Schenectady Inner City Ministry (SICM) is an ecumenical partnership of 50 congregations founded in 1967. SICM undertakes programs of joint service and witness with and on behalf of congregations in the areas of both social service and social justice.
