Community Resource Federal Credit Union Gives Albany Pal Kids Bookbags and School Supplies

Community Resource Federal Credit Union (CRFCU) is once again partnering with the Albany Police Department and the Albany Police Athletic League (PAL), Inc. to give kids a head start on their school supplies for the upcoming year.

On Tuesday, August 14 at 10:30 a.m., representatives from Community Resource FCU will be at the PAL Center @ 844 Madison Avenue handing out bookbags filled with school supplies to Albany PAL Kids at their Summer Camp. “We are so grateful to our supporters at Community Resource Federal Credit Union who continually answer the call to support our youth,” said Albany PAL Executive Director Sgt. (Ret.) Lenny Ricchiuti. “Their generosity will enable our PAL kids to have the tools they need to begin a successful school year when they return to their classrooms.”
“When students arrive at school with their bookbags, they’ll have the tools and confidence they need to help them succeed,” states CRFCU President/CEO Terry Langlois. “CRFCU is proud to partner with a program that contributes to a child’s education and development. The Albany PAL Book Bag Program is another way in which we demonstrate the credit union’s values of character, empathy and passion for members and the community at large.”

The Albany Police Athletic League, Inc. (PAL) is a juvenile crime prevention program which brings kids, cops and the community together in non-law enforcement settings. PAL accomplishes its goals by presenting various educational, recreational and social opportunities to Albany’s youth. Each year, PAL engages approximately 3,000 youth with activities such as the Afterschool Homework Club, Extended Day, Youth Leadership Council, Lacrosse, Mentoring, Explorer Program, Track events and much more. PAL can be reached at 518-435-0392 or online at albanypal.org.
