Community Bank N.A. Names Executive for Capital Region

Community Bank N.A. is pleased to welcome veteran Capital Region banker Jeffrey M. Levy as Regional Executive. Levy brings to the position more than 30 years of experience in the financial industry and a deep knowledge of the Capital Region.

In his new role, Levy will be responsible for introducing Community Bank N.A.’s creative, responsive style of banking to the region, building an experienced, energetic commercial banking team with local decision making and leading the bank’s overall activities across the Capital Region.

Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer Joseph Serbun said. “Jeff’s experience in the financial service industry along with his extensive Capital Region presence and knowledge of the market will be an asset to our Community Bank team and customers.”

Before joining the Community Bank N.A. team, Levy spent 11 years honing his skills at NBT Bank as Capital Region president and, most recently, president of commercial banking. Prior to that, he served in various roles at M&T Bank during his 20-year tenure, including Capital Region president.

Levy earned his Bachelor of Science in business economics from State University of New York at Oneonta and his Master of Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Outside of the office, he sits on the board for Excelsior Growth Fund and Empire State Certified Development Corporation. Additionally, Levy is a member of New York Bankers Association. He resides in Guilderland with his wife, Rosemary Sgroi Levy, Esq., and their five children.
