Colonie Senior Service Centers Announces 3rd Annual Chefs in Motion Competition

Colonie Senior Service Centers’ 3rd Annual Chefs in Motion will take place on Monday, September 20, 2021 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at The Beltrone Living Center. Chefs in Motion is collaboration among CSSC, the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, Cornell Cooperative Extension and the Times Union. This year’s event will be hybrid so; attendees can attend both virtually and/or in person. Participating Chefs/restaurants are provided a “shopping cart” of locally sourced seasonal-produce and products from which they create a signature dish. This year’s culinary judges are Chef Yono Purnomo, Chef Harold Qualters and Chef Joan Dembinski.

To date, the following chefs/restaurants will be participating: Chef Joan Porambo & Chef Kyle MacPhersen, Mazzone Hospitality, Honest Weight Food Coop., Allie B’s Cozy Kitchen (Chef Kizzy Johnson), Navona, and Patrick’s Pub.
