Colonie Launches Business Survey to Assess COVID-19 Impacts

The Town of Colonie has launched a new business survey to assess the impact of COVID-19 on town businesses. Developed in partnership with the Town of Colonie Industrial Development Agency (IDA) and the Local Development Corporation (LDC), this survey collects information from businesses and organizations located within the Town of Colonie, New York, including the Villages of Colonie and Menands. Participation is voluntary and individual responses will be kept confidential.

“The current public health emergency has created tremendous challenges for our community. During this difficult time, our primary objective is protecting our residents and businesses,” said Colonie Town Supervisor Paula Mahan.

This survey provides the town with key insights on how town businesses are coping with COVID-19. Businesses can complete the brief survey in a few minutes. The survey asks for general information about the business and how it has been impacted by COVID-19. The survey can be completed online by following this link. https://forms.gle/oFhMJzUZsmxBm5rv7

“In order to prepare for our economic recovery, we need to have up-to-date, first-hand information about how this event has impacted our businesses,” said Sean Maguire, Director of the Town of Colonie Planning and Economic Development Department. “We want to ensure that our continued response to this situation is based on data and information, not best guesses. This survey is an important part of our efforts to turn the page on this historic and unprecedented event.”
