College Suites at Hudson Valley Offers First Tours of Troy’s Newest Student Housing

Dozens of college students and Troy residents gathered at the College Suites at Hudson Valley today for a first glimpse at the newly constructed state-of-the-art student housing community located just steps from Hudson Valley Community College.

Guests were welcomed to join the official “hard hat” tour and were some of the first people to explore the new apartments and facilities. There was also free barbecue, live music, giveaways and prizes sponsored by Taco Bell and FLY 92.3 and catered by Millers BBQ.

“Moving into the College Suites at Hudson Valley is the perfect opportunity for students to enjoy their college experience in the luxury of a fully furnished suite, located just minutes from campus,” said Michael DiGiacomo, Regional Manager at United Plus Property Management. “These colleges in the Capital Region provide a top-tier education, and their students deserve a top-tier place to live and study; that’s what we’re offering at College Suites.”

The brand-new student housing community, situated on the corner of Morrison and Vandenburg Avenue, will house 268 students in 72 fully furnished apartment suites and feature a fitness center, laundry facility, bike storage, study and lounge areas, and on-site management offices.

The College Suites are currently signing licenses for the 2017 fall semester.

“Creating the College Suites has been a very exciting and fulfilling experience, thanks to tremendous support from the College, Rensselaer County and the City of Troy. We’re looking forward to opening our doors to students for the Fall 2017 semester,” said DiGiacomo.
