College Suites at Hudson Valley Announces Official Ribbon Cutting

The College Suites at Hudson Valley, Troy’s newest student housing community located within steps of the Hudson Valley Community College campus, will be holding their official ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, August 9 at 3:00 P.M.

All invitees are welcome and encouraged to tour the new state-of-the-art student housing community, which will house 268 students in 72 fully furnished apartment suites and feature a fitness center, laundry facility, bike storage and on-site management offices. Guest speakers at the ceremony include: Hudson Valley Community College President Andrew Matonak, City of Troy Mayor Patrick Madden, New York State Assemblyman John McDonald and United Group of Companies President and CEO Michael Uccellini.

Two time capsules were discovered during the demolition of the Franciscan Church formerly located on the property, and will be opened for the first time during the ceremony. The time capsules were closed and buried in 1941 and 1960 respectively.

The College Suites at Hudson Valley are currently signing licenses for the 2017 fall semester.
