Clifton Park Rotary Celebrates New Name with Ribbon Cutting

Clifton Park Rotary celebrated its new identity with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Capital Region Chamber on July 22 at Wheatfields Restaurant in Clifton Park, marking a new chapter for the organization while reaffirming its longstanding commitment to serving the community.

Formerly known as the Shenendehowa Rotary Club, the organization has proudly served the region since 1958. The transition to Clifton Park Rotary reflects the club’s desire to strengthen its connection to the community it serves while raising awareness, growing membership, and expanding its impact through local service initiatives.

The celebration brought together Rotary members, community leaders, and supporters from Rotary clubs across the Capital Region to recognize both the club’s new name and its continued dedication to service above self.

Capital Region Chamber staff joined local and state leaders in commemorating the occasion. Senator Jim Tedisco, Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh, Clifton Park Town Board Member Zabed Manir, and Clifton Park Rotary representative Ray Anthony shared remarks highlighting the organization’s decades of service and the important role Rotary continues to play in fostering leadership, volunteerism, and community engagement throughout the region.

Following the remarks, attendees gathered for the official ribbon cutting to celebrate Clifton Park Rotary’s new identity and its continued commitment to making a positive difference in the Clifton Park community.
