Civic Leaders Orientation Program and Flight Held at Stratton Air National Guard Base

Last Thursday, the Chamber’s Unified Military Affairs Council (UMAC) sponsored a Civic Leaders Orientation Program & Flight at Stratton Air National Guard Base in Scotia. Members of our state legislative delegation and Chamber Board members were provided with briefings on the military installation located within the Capital Region by our military commanders.

The program concluded with an exciting flight aboard one of the 109th Airlift Wing’s LC-130. UMAC’s mission is to highlight the importance of the military presence in the Capital Region and ensure its long-term viability and success. UMAC strives to increase public knowledge of the contributions made by military units in the Capital Region, all of which impact our global, national, state and regional security and economy.
