January 7, 2016Citizen’s Bank grants Umbrella of Colonie $10,000
Citizen’s Bank announced a grant of $10,000 to support Colonie Senior Service Center’s Umbrella of Colonie, a home maintenance program to help seniors remain independent and live in their own home longer.
The underwriting support from Citizen’s Bank for the program helps Umbrella of Colonie serve nearly 500 members, many who are low income with homes in disrepair. This grant will go directly to assist members with home repairs, yard work, electric, plumbing and more. This grant allows Umbrella to grow its services and the members that it serves.
Umbrella of Colonie, the home maintenance program of Colonie Senior Service Centers, helps seniors to remain independent and live in their own homes safer and longer with access to handymen services as well as discounted rates with reliable local contractors.
