The Chazen Companies, an employee-owned, multi-disciplinary firm providing civil engineering, land surveying, planning, environmental and safety consulting, landscape architecture, construction services and transportation planning and engineering, is pleased to announce Christopher J. LaPorta, EIT has been promoted to Project Engineer.
LaPorta, an East Fishkill resident, joined Chazen in 2013 as an Assistant Project Engineer. He received his Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology and his Master’s in Civil Engineering from University of Buffalo. He is a 2017 Leadership Dutchess graduate, the Vice President of the Mid-Hudson chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and has been instrumental in revitalizing their Young Professional group.
“Chris is very dedicated and is an outstanding mentor to our interns,” said Larry Boudreau, RLA, Principal, Director, Land Development, The Chazen Companies. “In his new role, Chris will be taking on more responsibilities in project design, and project and client management.”
