Chazen Golfs to Give Back

The Chazen Companies recently held their annual golf outing at Thunderhart Golf Course in Freehold, NY and raised over $1,000 for hurricane relief.

Mother Nature had just wreaked its havoc on Texas and Florida in the forms of Hurricane Harvey and Irma. Many stories told are of the kindness, care, compassion and assistance of those aiding victims of these tragedies. For over 10 years, Chazen employees have enjoyed a day of golfing with their colleagues. This year, Chazen golfed for a cause, supporting hurricane relief efforts. A variety of donated prizes were raffled off to both Chazen employees and others on the course. Tickets were sold prior to and during the event and all proceeds were donated to hurricane relief efforts.

“I have participated in the company golf outing since it began and it is always a lot of fun,” said Eric P. Johnson, P.E., Director, Municipal Engineering, The Chazen Companies. “It is all about getting together, building comradery and having a great time with coworkers outside of the office. This year was special because, in addition to having fun, we were also able to help others in need.”

“Our golf outing is one of many company events,” said Mark Kastner, P.E., President, The Chazen Companies. “This event gives everyone an opportunity to enjoy time out of the office and this year we were especially pleased to provide hurricane relief assistance. Thanks to Ed Larkin and Rachel Toleman, who organize our golf outing every year and whose idea it was this year to contribute to such a worthy cause.”
