Chamber of Southern Saratoga County Recognized at the 2025 Saratoga County Fair

The Chamber of Southern Saratoga County, an affiliate of the Capital Region Chamber, was honored to receive an award ribbon at the 2025 Saratoga County Fair in recognition of our continued commitment to one of Saratoga County’s most vital industries: Agriculture.

Often described as the region’s unofficial agriculture industry conference, the Fair brings together generations of farmers, families, and local businesses in a celebration of heritage, innovation, and community.

For years, the Chamber has proudly taken a leadership role in supporting and promoting agriculture. Our presence at the Fair continues that legacy—now strengthened through our broader Capital Region Chamber affiliations. Agriculture in the Capital Region has a steadfast ally in us, and we are proud to champion its value, resilience, and future.

This year’s exhibit could not have been possible without our sponsors and partners who made it happen, and who contributed to an amazing tent for thousands of visitors to experience. Thank you to Mangino Buick GMC, United Ag & Turf – Northeast, Rail Explorers USA, Reimer Heating Plumbing & Air Conditioning, Henry Bellagnome, and Curtis Lumber Company who donated to the exhibit, and our friends at CAPTAIN Community Human Services who sent volunteers to help us staff the tent.

We’re also grateful to CAPTAIN Community Human Services for providing volunteers to help greet fairgoers, along with our team and partners at Rail Explorers. A special thanks to Russ VanDervoort and the Waterford Canal and Towpath Society for sharing the “Minnie Matton” canal barge replica—a highlight of our display.

We also wish to recognize the Saratoga County Economic Development Committee and Board of Supervisors for their ongoing support of our work through the Saratoga County Community Development Program, which has fueled initiatives like this since 2013.

It was a joy to see such strong support from community leaders for the Saratoga County Agricultural Society and the entire farming community at the opening ceremony, which featured remarks from Commissioner Richard Ball of the New York State Department of Agriculture & Markets.

Since 1841, the Saratoga County Fairgrounds have come alive each summer, showcasing the sights, sounds, and stories of local life. From food and tractor pulls to educational exhibits and live entertainment, it’s an event that connects our past to our future.
