Chamber Honors Ambassadors

Laura Dehmer, Vice President, Business Resources for the Capital Region Chamber is pictured with Nicole Parisi, COO and Partner, Capital District Payroll and Ron Mason, recently retired from Northeast Information Systems, as they were honored as Ambassadors of the Year for the Capital Region Chamber affiliates, The Chamber of Schenectady County and the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber respectively for 2015. Nicole and Ron were recognized by their fellow Ambassadors and Chamber staff at the March Ambassador meeting hosted by the Rudy A. Ciccotti Family Recreation Center in Albany.

“We are fortunate to have a very energetic and dedicated group of Ambassadors representing the Chamber, supporting our mission, at the same time being great representatives of the member companies they work for. They are all tremendous assets for the Chamber and Nicole and Ron really stepped up for their Chambers in 2015”, stated Scott Osswald, Director, Membership Development at the Capital Region Chamber. “We have brought both groups together now under the Capital Region Chamber and I am very excited about this group moving forward in 2016”, he added.

As volunteers, The Capital Region Chamber Ambassadors play a crucial role in Chamber member recruitment and retention. The Ambassadors are considered an extension of Chamber Staff and serve as a direct link between the Chamber, Chamber members and the greater business community. Chamber Ambassadors actively assist members and potential members to be better informed about the Chamber’s work and mission as well as opportunities to participate in Chamber programs. In addition, Chamber Ambassadors are the eyes and ears of the Chamber, providing feedback to Chamber Staff on member viewpoints and issues.
