The Chamber Ambassadors Council held its monthly meeting at the Bestpass, Inc. facility at 500 New Karner Road in Albany. The group learned firsthand from CEO John Andrews how the company streamlines the toll system for commercial truck drivers nationwide. The innovative approach allows the trucks to drive across country through different toll systems all under one transponder. This type of business was in such demand that the company has been growing on average 30 percent a year for the past six years. The group toured the 13,000-square-foot modern work environment and was told the company is expanding to another 13,000 square feet elsewhere in the building. This is a true case of technology “meeting the road”, and the outcome is a business growing faster than even its founders thought was possible.
