Carlo Fusco Joins Pioneer as Vice President – Commercial Relationship Manager

Carlo FuscoPioneer announced today the appointment of Carlo Fusco as Vice President – Commercial Relationship Manager for its commercial banking division.

Fusco joins Pioneer from JPMorgan Chase in Albany, where he served as Vice President of Commercial Banking in their Middle Market division. During his tenure at JPMorgan Chase, Fusco was successful in growing the bank’s business in the Greater Capital Region by deepening existing client relationships and bringing new clients into the portfolio.  Additionally, he recently helped lead the delivery of the PPP Loan process for the Northeast.  Fusco previously held retail banking, underwriting, and commercial loan administration positions at SEFCU and First Niagara Bank.

Fusco will play a vital role in providing value to Pioneer’s existing commercial client base while also bringing new relationships to Pioneer. He will work closely with Pioneer’s credit team, now under the leadership of Rob Nichols, Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer, who joined Pioneer from KeyBank in 2019, as well as Pioneer’s existing commercial team under the leadership of Jesse Tomczak.

In addition to expanding its commercial team by investing in the region’s top talent, Pioneer also continues to develop a full suite of products and services to help streamline financial product portfolios for businesses, including cash and risk management, debt and equity capital, treasury management, investment services, insurance, and employee benefits.

Fusco earned a bachelor’s degree in Business and Finance from Ursinus College in Pennsylvania in 2006, and an MBA from The College of Saint Rose in 2010. He is an active volunteer with Northeast Career Planning, where he serves as President of its Board of Director, and also serves as vice chair for the Board of Directors for Unity House in Troy.
