Capital Roots to Celebrate Earth Day


WHEN:
Monday, April 22, 2019, 1:00 – 3:00pm

WHERE: Capital Roots’ Urban Grow Center, 594 River Street, Troy; Capital Roots’ Produce Project Urban Farm, 261 8th Street, Troy; Uncle Sam Trailhead, 7th Avenue and Middleburg Street, Troy, NY.

WHAT: Capital Roots, a 44 year-old local food access nonprofit dedicated to nourishing healthy communities through fresh food and green spaces, will lead three neighborhood cleanups in celebration of Earth Day.

Capital Roots staff will be joined by the organization’s Produce Project students as well as nearly thirty volunteers throughout the North Central and Hillside neighborhoods in Troy. Volunteers will be gathering at Capital Roots’ Urban Grow Center at 594 River Street at 12:45pm before heading off to their designated locations. All ages are welcome and supplies will be provided.
