Capital Region Chamber Announces the 2022 Women of Excellence

Six women who have achieved success in their professional careers and dedicated themselves to community service will join the prestigious ranks of the Capital Region Chamber’s “Women of Excellence” at the 31st annual awards program on Thursday, May 19th at the Albany Marriott.

The Women’s Business Council (WBC) of the Chamber received many outstanding nominations from throughout our region. The selection committee is different each year and is comprised of prior Women of Excellence award recipients. This year’s honorees are:

Distinguished Career
Hon. Dr. Brenda Joyce Robinson, Black Nurses Coalition, Inc.

Excellence in Business
Tobi Saulnier, 1st Playable Productions

Excellence in the Professions
Kathleen McLean, The McLean Group

Excellence in Business Development
Heather Ford, Wilmington Trust, a division of M&T Bank

Excellence in Management
Dr. Gladys I. Cruz, Questar III BOCES

Emerging Professional
Jaime Kazlo, CDTA

“This year’s Women of Excellence Award honorees excel in their work and demonstrate a strong commitment to their families and community service,” said Mark Eagan, Chamber President and CEO. “They are leading the way in their respective fields, and we are proud to honor them as Women of Excellence.”

“We’re incredibly lucky to have phenomenal women making an impact in business throughout our region,” said Kelsey Carr, Chair of the Women’s Business Council. “We’re honored to recognize the hard work and perseverance of our 2022 Women of Excellence recipients. Each of these women, in their own ways, have faced the challenges of being a woman in business head on, and have overcome the unique hardships of the pandemic, while passionately serving our community. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!”
