Capital District YMCA Staff Promotions

Hannah White, to Wellness Director of the Troy YMCA

Hannah will lead the Wellness Department ensuring quality classes and services for our members including personal training, corporate wellness programming and continuing efforts in growing community collaborations.

Hannah entered the YMCA movement working with the YMCA of Greater Rochester in many capacities. Most recently, Hannah has served the Capital District YMCA as a Wellness Coordinator for the Schenectady Branch. She formally served both the Schenectady and Duanseburg communities as a Personal Trainer and Member Services Representative.

Catherine Van Orden, to Wellness Director of the East Greenbush YMCA

Cathy will lead the wellness department, ensuring quality classes and services for our members and guests while expanding our personal training and corporate wellness programs.

Cathy started at the Greenbush Y as a pre-school and youth sports instructor.  She went on to earn her Personal Training and Group Exercise certifications and quickly became one of our top trainers.  Cathy’s most recent role has been Group Exercise Coordinator as well as lead trainer and instructor for our branch.

Cheryl Misiewicz, to Director of the Duanesburg YMCA Early Learning Center
Cheryl will handle the day-to-day operations of the Duanesburg Early Learning Center, to ensure that every child in our care has an outstanding experience, every day.

Cheryl started her career with the Capital District YMCA in August of 2010 at the Glenville YMCA as a Member Service Representative. She moved to our Southern Saratoga branch in April of 2014 as the Member Service Manager.

Cheryl holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the State University College at Oswego.
