Capital District YMCA Hires Chelsea Cannon as Aquatics Director at their Guilderland Branch

Please congratulate Chelsea Cannon on her promotion to Aquatics Director of our Guilderland Branch.

Chelsea has been working as the Aquatics Coordinator at our Bethlehem branch. During her time at Bethlehem, Chelsea has been an integral part of the team, and brings tremendous energy and enthusiasm to her work. Chelsea has a vigilant eye toward safety and holds her team to high standards. She understands the importance of aquatics and has helped her team strive for success.

Chelsea has a diverse background in Aquatics. Before joining the Capital District YMCA, Chelsea was an Aquatics Director at a military installation in Italy where she also helped run the swim team before becoming the director. Chelsea was also responsible for overseeing the bowling alley, gyms, theater, rock wall and special events.

Chelsea is an American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor and loves teaching classes.

Chelsea is an avid Green Bay Packers fan and believes in the quote by Vince Lombardi: “Individual commitment to a group effort — that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work.”
