June 11, 2020Capital District YMCA Food Drive to Benefit South End Children’s Cafe
The South End Children’s Café is a valuable community organization that helps children and families of the South End of Albany by providing nutritious meals and groceries. The Café serves 600 people each week. The Café delivers dinners and groceries to 400 families 5 days a week. As you can imagine, the Café requires tremendous support. Here is where you can help.
The South End Children’s Café is in need of the following non-perishable items:
- Boxed or Bagged Cereal
- Boxed Mac and Cheese
- Laundry Detergent
- Cleaning Spray
- Canned Fruit
- Canned Vegetables
- Bagged Fresh Fruit and Vegetables
- Boxed Taco Kits
- Canned Tuna
- Mayonnaise
- Rice Cakes
- Notes and cards with positive messages for children
Donations can be dropped off on Thursday, June 18, 2020 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the Guilderland YMCA. Your contributions will help struggling children and families in Albany’s South End.
