July 21, 2015Capital District Women’s Employment and Resource Center (WERC) Announces Awardees for 2015 Annual Awards Luncheon
The Capital District Women’s Employment & Resource Center (WERC) will hold their 2015 Annual Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Troy. KeyBank is the title sponsor for the event.
WERC will honor community leaders who have made important contributions to the personal and professional growth of women, as well as to the region’s economic vitality.
Annmarie Lanesey, President/CEO, Greane Tree Technology, will be awarded the Harriet Rifkin Leadership Award in recognition of her leadership, volunteerism, professionalism, and her work in creating opportunities for women to achieve personal and financial independence.
Lisa Wilson-Good, Founder/Director, Urban Grief, will receive the WERCing Woman of Achievement Award. This award is presented to a woman whose career path has been filled with unique transitions, unexpected challenges, opportunities to take risks, and who serves as an excellent role model for women served by WERC.
Ellis Medicine will be recognized with the Advancement of Women in the WERCplace Award for its longstanding efforts to remove barriers that keep women from achieving financial independence and success.
This year Lois Smith-Law will be awarded the WERC Lifetime Achievement Award to distinguish her as a woman who lived her life with passion and truly embraced WERC’s mission to help others through her entire career.
