April 10, 2018CAP COM to Host Capital Region’s Homebuyers Workshop & Expo
The Capital Region’s Homebuyers Workshop & Expo, presented by the experts at Homeowners Advantage (the mortgage subsidiary of CAP COM Federal Credit Union) will be held Sunday, April 15, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., at The Desmond Hotel.
With a continued focus on member education, CAP COM will host expert speakers joined by exhibitors, including local real estate agents, a real estate attorney, licensed home inspector and other related homebuying and home improvement companies. Workshop topics will focus on Homebuying 101, Financing, Down Payment Assistance, and Homebuying Do’s and Don’ts.
CAP COM recently began offering a 100% financing option that helps expand funding choices for buyers. This innovative mortgage loan helps reduce cash up front. It also allows homebuyers to close on their new home before selling their current one, save on mortgage insurance costs, improve their chances of winning a bidding war, and potentially own other properties (as there are no first-time homebuyer restrictions).
“The home buying process can be stressful. Navigating the pitfalls and aligning yourself with the right partners is essential to making the process easier. Whether you are buying your first home or your fifth, our workshop focuses on engaging attendees on a step-by-step journey so that they leave with a better understanding of what it will take to actually enjoy buying a home,” said Chris McKenna, Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer, CAP COM Federal Credit Union/Homeowners Advantage.
The event is open to the public, and admission is free. CAP COM anticipates around 300 attendees. Registration still available here: https://www.capcomfcu.org/lp/homebuyers-workshop-and-expo-registration/
