CAP COM Opens 10th Branch in Malta

The branch is conveniently located in what has become a hotbed of growth in Malta and will serve members and businesses from Round Lake to Saratoga Springs and from Ballston Spa to Global Foundries, TEC-Smart and the Luther Forest Technology Campus.

“Our members have been asking for a branch that is more convenient to northern Saratoga County and we delivered,” said President/CEO Paula Stopera. “Even while we continue to expand the mobile technology we offer, we know that many of our members still want the kind of in-person, one-on-one service that CAP COM is known for.”

With more than $1 billion in assets, the growing credit union last year joined the CO-OP Shared Branch Network, expanding its footprint by offering transactional services in 5,000 locations throughout the nation. Through CAP COM’s mortgage subsidiary, Homeowners Advantage, its mortgage business has tripled over the past four years. Capital Region Living readers voted CAP COM Best Service in 2015 for the fourth year in a row and the credit union has been one of the Business Review’s Great Places to Work for the past 12 years.

CAP COM partnered with BBL Construction and Woodward, Connor, Gillies & Seleman Architects to deliver a state-of-the-art branch that mimics the credit union’s CAP COM Financial Center in Albany. CAP COM also has branches in Brunswick, Clifton Park, Cohoes, Colonie, Glenmont, Latham, Niskayuna and North Greenbush.
