June 1, 2021CAP COM Cares Foundation Awards $100,000 among 20 Capital Region Nonprofits
CAP COM Federal Credit Union and its charitable giving arm, the CAP COM Cares Foundation, announced the winners of the CAP COM Cares Foundation Infrastructure Grant Initiative. $100,000 was awarded to 20 Capital Region nonprofit organizations at CAP COM Headquarters this morning, Tuesday, June 1.
The CAP COM Cares Foundation had an original goal of dedicating $50,000 to help support the nonprofits’ missions, awarding ten organizations with a $5,000 grant, but after more than sixty applications were submitted, the Foundation’s Board of Directors made the recommendation to award an additional ten grants and $50,000.
Remarks were made by CAP COM’s President and CEO, Chris McKenna, CAP COM’s Chief Relationship Officer Susan Fogarty, CAP COM’s Director of Community Engagement Becky Daniels, CAP COM’s Community Impact Manager Paige Rueckert and Jennifer Wuerz, Executive Director of Family & Child Services of Schenectady
